ALX, a French artist known for his sculptural visual language, pushes the limits of perception through layered, multidimensional works. His pieces challenge the boundary between image and object, creating immersive illusions that shift with the viewer’s perspective.
Crafted in collaboration with Maison Davis, Cervin is a striking relief work blending sculpture, illusion, and symbolism. At first glance, a sharp black silhouette of the Matterhorn rises in 3D, carved through hundreds of laser-cut layers. Behind it, revealed only by movement and light, lies a hidden collage of real 24k gold banknotes and gold leaf, suspended in resin.
Perhaps the real treasure is not what glitters below, but what has always stood above.
